I’m going to go way, way, way out on a limb here and speculate that 99.99% of people wish there was more kindness in our world. Specifically, they wish people would be more kind.
I’ll leave that little .01% out there because there are always a few who get their jollies from being unkind . But that’s just 1 in 10,000. And that one probably isn’t part of our kindness magnet community. Just a guess!
I’m reminded of the song 🎵 from Pinocchio, ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’:
“When you wish upon a star⭐, makes no difference who you are. Anything your heart desires will come to you…. When you wish upon a star your dreams come true.”
So if most of the population wishes for more kindness in the world, yet we also recognize that there are a lot of unkind things going on, what’s the solution? Wishing is a start that benefits from action!
Maybe if everyone knew how many serious positive side effects there were to kindness, then more people would jump on the kindness band wagon.
It’s not a complete solution. Just a small piece in the puzzle🧩. But it’s a start.
