Hey, howdy. Good to see you. We’re back. If you just started hanging out with our super cool kind community, you’re probably saying, “Umm… where were you?”
We ducked out for a makeover. Woohoo. Here are some pics:
And the new header for your email viewing pleasure (I know how important this is to you lol….):
So of course you can see why this took a whole month. I am not a fiddle faddler and not a procrastinator.😁
And as we were on our way back from the beach, KM (my pet name for Kindness Magnet) looked over at me and said, “What about you? What did you do for your makeover? You’re the writer, after all. Anything new?”
Well, yes. Actually there is.
Welcome to Season II: The Kinda Kind Series
“Sometimes kindness isn’t in your face. It’s more subtle. It’s Kinda Kind.”
While sailing along for 2 years with 81 posts and stories, ripples of kindness rocked me gently along where ever kind communication flowed. Those ripples became waves leading to better relationships, doors to opportunities, and greater happiness.
So where do you find this Kind Communication? What does it look like? And can it be learned?
Let’s Find Out
We all communicate. With others. With ourselves. Out loud. Silently. Body language. Smirks. Smiles. Snorts. Chortles. Groans. Laughter. Nods. Eye rolls (I do this. Do you?). Emails. Letters. Texts. Social media. Gestures. Phone calls. Voice mail. Loud. Soft. In between. Expressions. We have a huge and curious top hat of tricks to help us communicate.🎩
Sometimes we reach into that top hat and great things come out. Other times… MEH, maybe just a cute little bunny 🐇 or worse 🐍.
Season II is about talking. And not talking. About gestures. And expressions. And sounds. And silence. It’s about all the curious ways we communicate. And it’s about the amazing things that can happen when we are Kinda Kind.
🐰 Come Dive Down the Communication Rabbit Hole
Kinda Kind is Serious. And Funny. And Both. (And stuff you can use😁). Come dive down the rabbit hole and let's go exploring. Who knows what we’ll find there.
Next week launches Season II with a special story…. and it really stinks. See you then.

What’s your favorite duck makeover pic?
Are you a fiddle faddler?
What other ways do we communicate that I forgot to list?
What kind thing happened to you this week?
3. Rip someone’s face off and stick their head in the dirt. I learned that from a three-year old and have given it a lot of thought over the years. It is definitely a focused way to communicate displeasure to someone, I think, because I never really reached the point where I needed to test it.
Is it true that ducks are only waterproof chickens with lips?
Someone did something really nice to me this week, and I am still blushing about it, so it’s my little secret.
Love your joyful stick figure mascot! It adds personality to your already wonderful Substack.
