We're Gonna Get a Makeover!

~There are times when life just calls for a little makeover.

💋Makeover

I’ve never had a personal makeover, though heavens knows, that wouldn’t have been a bad idea somewhere along the line.

I did try one of those makeup counters at Macy’s one time. The salesgirl did her best, but I fear she tried to make me look like her, with gobs of foundation, black eyeliner, and red lipstick. Kinda cute on a 20-something…but on an XX-something…meh.(fill in the XX as you see fit). Think Goldie Hawn collides with Taylor Swift. 😁

Undaunted, I’ve decided to give it another try. But not for me this time. For Kindness Magnet. She has been my baby 👶 for a couple of years now, but baby is growing up and she needs a new pair of shoes. Well, actually Mama always needs a new pair of shoes, but this time baby does, too. 👠

The Exotica

I’m taking Kindness Magnet to an exotic - think Mai Tai’s, bikinis, surfer dudes - getaway for some pampering and a new look. We’ll let the sun and the waves wash over us with fresh ideas and new plans for the rest of 2023 and heading into 2024.

We’ll be gone for a few weeks. When we get back we’ll share some trip pics including some Before and After shots and the Big Reveal. I hope it turns out great. Keep your fingers crossed!

The Truth

I’m just California Dreamin’ about that trip. I wasn’t gonna tell you, I was just gonna fake it, but my Mom always taught me not to lie, so darn it, no Mai Tai’s.

But that Makeover part…that’s the gospel truth.

And shhh, don’t tell anyone that I told you…but maybe a new name as well. Gads, what is this world coming to.

Hang in there until we return, even though the suspense is killing you.
