Inspiring examples, Heather. I had a wonderful kindness experience recently. I tore my deck out, as it was falling apart due to termites and damp. I was left with a large pile of old wood in my front garden, some of it still worth saving. I put it on Craig's list for free, and within one hour a man came by for it. The man picked out all the good wood and put it in his truck, then he surprised me by taking all the unusable broken stuff too - he took the whole pile, cleaning up my yard! He worked an extra hour and then hauled it all away to the dump for me. Now THAT was kind! Restored my faith a bit, I'll tell you! I always love the concrete examples you give. Kindness is found all around. And opportunities for us to add to it abound.
One Christmas, I found a 10 pound note on my doorstep. No one had knocked at the door and dropped it, as confirmed by my children, and it wasn't a windy day. Someone's kindness that day extended into generosity.
Wow, that's an amazing way to start a ripple of kindness! And the beautiful thing is, you are still remembering that kindness and sharing it, so now I have that wonderful feeling, too! That's just how it works! Thanks for sharing, Denise. I imagine it was a good feeling for your family!

What a wonderful experience. And a very kind guy. Your kindness by giving the wood away gave him the chance to reciprocate. Ripples.
Thanks for sharing your story. You made my morning!

You're most welcome, Heather. It certainly made my day!
I would like to see more of that kindness in today's world - going the extra mile just because..
I agree, Janice. I think a lot of it is out there. Once we start focusing on it, we begin to see it everywhere.
