Loved your story. I do encounter friends and some of my family who have life challenges. It causes me to thank God for what I have, I have a great wife, our daughter is married to a great man and everyone is healthy. In these crazy days, it helps me to pause and give thanks for what I have.
I had a deal once with my neighbor. When we were together, any time I said something negative, she would counteract it with, "Yes, but another way to look at it is...." Then we would laugh because she'd caught me. I would do the same to her. It really showed us how much negativity we brought into our lives.
